Newmanistas, David, Pat and Linda Chew will add stature and prominence to May's cultural celebration of the Chinese heritage in the City of El Paso. The City of El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department presents “We Celebrate Our Heritage-China” during the month of May. A number of events are planned for the celebration including reminiscences by the Chews on May 16th at 2 p.m. at the El Paso Museum of History.Their father, Wellington Chew, was the first Asian American to be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. A park and senior center are named in his honor.
